Whether the children need school supplies, a therapy program or just some time off campus, the volunteers among us reflect credit upon themselves and our community with their gifts of time and financial support.

Our Volunteer Program is About Sharing Time and Resources

How Are Host Families Involved? The children at Hendrick Home grow in self-esteem and social confidence through the Hendrick Home family visitation program.  This program gives children opportunities to visit volunteer families (Host Families) on selected weekends and/or holidays.

How Can You Help? Only about half of the children spend their visits with their own families.  Host families fill a vital role by offering their homes to the remaining children who do not have families of their own to visit.  You can help by volunteering as a host family to a child at Hendrick Home.

How Can You Be A Host Family? It’s easy!  Call our office at 325-692-0112 for an application and program details.

Volunteer for positions on our fundraising event committees, such as the following:
- Dancing with the Abilene Stars
- Annual Rooftop Toy Drive
