Contract Maintenance Technician

The Contract Maintenance Technician will perform maintenance and repair services on an as-needed basis. This independent contractor role requires a skilled professional capable of handling a wide range of facility maintenance tasks efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs (windows, doors, walls, etc.)
  • Repair plumbing issues such as leaks, clogs, and fixtures
  • Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical issues
  • Maintain HVAC systems to ensure proper operation
  • Identify and resolve safety hazards
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks
  • Paint and maintain facility appearance as needed
  • Assist with groundskeeping and outdoor maintenance
  • Complete additional tasks as requested

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in maintenance, facilities, or related field
  • Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and carpentry
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Reliable transportation and necessary tools/equipment preferred
  • Ability to perform physically active work

Contract Requirements:

  • Must operate as an independent contractor and not as an employee of Hendrick Home for Children
  • Responsible for own taxes, insurance, and required licensing (if applicable)
  • Must provide proof of liability insurance upon request

Pre-Engagement Requirements:

All selected contractors must successfully complete a screening process prior to engagement. This includes, but is not limited to, a drug screening, criminal background check, physical examination, tuberculosis (TB) test, and verification of professional references.

Basic Care Program Home Care Couple

Hendrick Home for Children is accepting applications for our Basic Care program. The Home raises children, ages 5 to 18, in a safe and loving Christian environment. The children are reared in an atmosphere of spiritual, physical, emotional and intellectual growth. Children at HHC enjoy participating in all academic and extracurricular activities of their public schools.

The right couple will identify with our core values of Family, Spiritual Development, Education, Mutual Respect, Dignity, Compassion, and Responsibility. With our mission and these values in mind, the role will primarily provide:

  • A Positive Role Model for all our children
  • Care and Supervision for residents in the assigned cottage
  • Responsibilities of a Parent to include the provision of Material, Physical, Spiritual, Emotional, and Disciplinary Needs
  • Meal Preparation and Menu Documentation
  • Transportation for children, including but not limited to, to and from school and medical appointments
  • Administration & Documentation of Medications
  • Ability to follow schedules and participate in related planning

Minimum Qualifications Include:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid Driver’s License w/excellent driving record
  • Ability to care for up to 8 children
  • Must possess and exhibit behavior that demonstrates cultural diversity and sensitivity
  • License in childcare preferred

Salary/benefits:
• $70,000+/Couple
• Rent-free private 2-bedroom apartment, meals and utilities (including cable)
• Medical, Dental, Vision, Group Life Insurance, Long Term Disability, and 401(k) with company contribution.
• Hendrick Home offers flexible schedules, including one week on and one week off.
