The application process begins with an initial telephone evaluation, followed by interviews, psychological evaluations, pre-placement visit, and then admission.

It starts with a simple call or email where we will gather basic information about you and your situation.

Phone Evaluation

The phone interview helps us to learn more details about your situation, understand your needs, and determine if we have the resources to help.

Application and Interview

Once we determine we have the resources to help, you’ll complete an application and begin the interview process. Interviews allow you the opportunity to meet the staff and learn more about the Home as well as provides us the opportunity to meet you and your child.

Pre-Placement Visit

Your child will have the opportunity to spend a day at the Home, meet the house parents and kids, see where they would live, and participate in campus life. This allows your child to see how they will fit into our family and allows us to see how they will adjust to campus life.

Placement

Following the pre-placement visit if there are any reservations on your end or ours, then we will not proceed with placement. However, if we all agree that the Home is the best place for your child then we will officially bring them into our family.

Interviews

Interviews allow you the opportunity to meet the staff and learn more about the Home as well as provides us the opportunity to meet you and your children. As part of the interviews you will have the opportunity to tour the campus, see where your family would live, and get a glimpse of what life on campus is like.

Placement

If we all agree that the Home is the best place for you and your children, then we will officially bring you into the Hendrick Home family.
